Spring holidays in April, 2008 was two weeks in
Northern California.
A camping and hiking trip. Beautiful spring weather with wild waterfalls and rivers filled with water from the melting snow. Scrambling the lava tubes at Lava beds Natl. Monument. Walking among the big trees in the Redwoods Natl. Park near the coast.

In September, 2007 I spent a few fall days in the
White Mountains of New Hampshire.
A four day camping and hiking trip. The fall foliage colored the trees in bright oranges and reds along the Kancamagus scenic highway and on the surrounding mountain slopes. Beautiful contrast with the greens of the spruce trees.
