Latest iPhone News

I started with hacking my iPhone using the PWNAGE tool to modify the original firmware. Next used iTunes to upload the custom firmware 2.0.

Then I attached my iPhone again and used the standard iTunes upgrade for installing firmware 2.0.1.

Now Apple has released the firmware 2.0.2 and again I used the standard iTunes upgrade. My iPhone is up-to-date and running.

iPhone - Crop Pictures

Goto the photo albums and select the picture. Zoom in and position the picture to get the correct selection.

Next press the ON/OFF button and HOME button simultaneous. The selection is saved as a separate photo in the photo album

iPhone - Saving Pictures From Safari

Tap and hold a picture for a few seconds. You will be offered the possibility to save the image in your photo album.

iPhone - Use Remote As Apple TV Keyboard

One of the most annoying things about the Apple TV is using its on-screen keyboard -- for instance, when entering WiFi information, usernames, or searching for YouTube videos. The process of moving character-by-character and row-by-row is slow and tedious. If you've got an iPhone or iPod touch and Apple's free Remote application, however, you're holding the solution to this problem in your hand: just fire up Remote any time you see a keyboard input screen on your Apple TV, and the keyboard will appear on your iPhone (or iPod touch).

I downloaded the great Eclipse based development environment from SpringSource. SpringSource is the new initiative from the original developers of the Spring Application Framework.

The SpringSource version of Eclipse is prepared for Spring projects and offers good tutorials. In additional SpringSource offers a Java application platform for running your solutions.

Visiting A Bakery

Lieke working at the local bakery with school. Another trip after visiting the post office and talks from the fire department at school.

Getting hands-on experience with preparing the dough for the bread, adding raisins or nuts. Finally making buns in every size and shape. After the baker finished baking them every kid could enjoy their own home-made bread.

Paradiso Concerts

The coming months the following concerts are forthcoming. I already got the tickets for the Drive-By Truckers. Tickets were still available for the following concerts:

The Kooks

Last year the band released the great album Konk with the hit single See The Sun. Typically british and upbeat music with a lot of details.

The group toured the European concert halls. Almost two years ago they played at the Paradiso.

Recently they release their next single Shine On.

Heroes

A few weeks ago the first episodes of the second season of Heroes were broadcasted in The Netherlands.

Worth watching as it stands-out against other TV series. Even though the series got mixed reviews after the great first season and had to ride a bumpy road with the writers strike in the USA.
